Why did I wait so long to get peace of mind regarding the safe destruction of my obsolete computer’s hard drive?
My old computer tower had been tucked under my work station for two years, slowly gathering a growing layer of dust. The problem for me was the uncertainty of not knowing what to do with the drive, which still contained personal information that I didn’t want to fall into the wrong hands. I’d long since purchased a laptop and no longer needed the slow, clunky machine. I wanted to recycle it but was afraid my personal information might be stolen.
