Lowe’s Mission Valley

Understanding More about Lowe’s Mission Valley Recycling Program

Lowe’s Home Improvement

When most people think of Lowe’s Home Improvement, they may not necessarily think about the many great programs that Lowe’s has developed to go Green and to help the environment. The truth of the matter is that Lowe’s Home Improvement is incredibly environmentally friendly, having created several major policies that will have a positive impact on the environment in San Diego. One of those great policies stated that none of their wood products were made from wood that came out of the rainforest. The company also switched to direct deposit to pay employees rather than use paper. Lowe’s Mission Valley is located at 2318 Northside Drive in San Diego.

What does Lowe’s Mission Valley Recycle?

One of the hardest items in your home or business to recycle is electrical appliances. Many of them are very, very large and almost impossible to move without the help of strong and experienced lifters. Add to that the difficulty of finding a vehicle large enough to accommodate the appliance and it almost seems impossible to properly dispose of your household appliances, which is exactly what Lowe’s Mission Valley focuses on. By making sure these products get recycled, you can help to reduce the amount of chemicals getting into the water supply through the tainted soil in landfills that are piling up with garbage, especially electronic garbage.

How does the program work?

The Lowe’s appliance recycling program is not an official program per se, but the process of how it all works is very simple. For example, say you need a new refrigerator. You visit the Lowe’s Mission Valley store and purchase a new refrigerator. You pay to have the refrigerator delivered to your home. The Lowe’s delivery people will remove the old refrigerator from your home and load it onto their truck. They will take the old refrigerator to a suitable recycling center or transfer station where it can be properly disposed of. This pick up service is free of charge. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 6 am to 9 pm and on Sundays 7 am to 8 pm.
