Begin Pacific Beach Recycling

It is up to us to keep the planet clean, and that means recycling. When most people think about recycling, they worry that it is too complicated or difficult, and that they will have to do a lot of extra work to make it worth it. That is just not true. You make recycling worth it every time you do it, because those items are not going to end up in a landfill thanks to your efforts. Our landfills are full to overflowing with trash, and so much of that trash is actually recyclable! Did you know that an aluminum can could be recycled endlessly? That’s right. It never grows weaker through recycling, and so that one can could be reformed over and over and over again. But before that happens, people like you must make the effort to recycle.

It’s Easy

There are many locations within San Diego that accept recyclables, but better than that, there are locations right inside the 92109 zip code that you can take advantage of. If you don’t have curbside recycling in Pacific Beach, you can still collect paper, plastic, glass, and aluminum for drop-off at the Pacific Beach Recreation Center, El Carmel Point, or Bonita Cove West. These locations all accept typical household recyclable items. There are also free auto product recycling events held all over the neighborhood.

When In Doubt, Search

If you aren’t certain that an item can be recycled, why not check Recycle San Diego’s free searchable database? The database, available at, contains the names, contact information, address, and brief descriptions of every recycling facility in the San Diego area. You can search by item or by location, so no matter what, you’ll find what you are looking for. It is quick and easy to use this database to locate the best place to recycle your items, and you will love the feeling you get from doing so.
